Spidey’s Secret Mental Training Formula for Summer Growth
Hey TAH Titans,
I appreciate all the support and momentum building as we head into the summer. It’s been incredible to see it grow, and with that, I want to share something personal that ties right into this week's theme.
Week Theme:
Win or Go Home: Mental Exercises to Master the Moment
Weekly Info:
Summertime is the season of superior growth.
I think back to the summer before my freshman year of high school. My days were a constant cycle:
Wake up, cross-country practice. Hit the weights. Eat. Basketball training with neighborhood friends for 2-3 hours. Snack. Afternoon cross-country practice. A little more basketball and speed work. Sleep. Repeat.
Fast forward to later summers in high school, priorities shifted. Maybe I was working more, studying harder, or diving deeper into training. But the formula stayed the same… consistency and sheer growth.
But then came a different summer. The one I spent in a neuroscience lab working with rodents.
That was the summer I realized something was missing. There was a key link, almost spell-like scary, that could have propelled me even further every summer before that one.
It was mental training.
And that’s what I want to share today.
I broke it down some in this week’s Deep Dive Episode on the Mental Performance Playbook podcast.
Exclusive Exercise: Spidey's Science Experiment
You know how one little bite turned a nerdy Peter Parker into one of the baddest backyard superheroes around?
We can see the same thing with our own little summer science experiment, except this one is all about the mind.
Exclusive Action Tools:
Weekly Study Your Mental Game: Just like you’d study film or a playbook, start learning the mental strategies that lead to success.
Weekly Implement Mental Exercises: Don’t just read about it, do it. Whether it's visualization, breath work, or mental resets, reps matter.
Continuously Challenge and Test: Push those mental muscles to their max. Keep track of your growth over the summer, just like you would with weights or sprints.
In Action:
The reason these are the steps is because I’m seeing it happen right now.
Not only am I personally implementing it on the business side, but I’m watching athletes and teams build mental strength and elevate their overall game like never before.
I don’t have just one example, I have many. Athletes are starting to train their minds with us and unlocking levels they never thought possible.
That’s why I know you can implement it for yourself too.
Closing:
Whether it’s with a coach or on your own, that’s not the point of today’s trick.
The point is this: like Spidey's experiment, like every summer since 8th grade, and like my own summer in the secret basement lab, this summer can be yours to find a new level of performance.
Train it. Strengthen it. Level it up.
Cheers to the soon-to-be summer!
Soak it up,
Gabe
P.S. I truly appreciate the word of mouth that’s growing TAH and the opportunities it’s creating. The hard work, both yours and mine ,is becoming reality. We’re building something real here, changing sports one mental rep at a time. Until next week!
