Hey TAH Titans,

What are you doing? It’s now dead week in Iowa, “no sports allowed,” but we all know how that really works. It’s grind time on your own time.

If you know anyone who needs out of the middle, share this with them!

Week Theme:

3 Mental Exercises Every Athlete Should Do During the Break

Weekly Info:

That was the podcast episode title for this week. Feel free to check it out here.

But we’ve got a lot more to cover in this message...

How often do you, or the athlete you know, feel stuck in the middle?

“I want to get there, but I feel like I’m still here. Or maybe I’ve moved a little... I don’t know.”

That exact state of limbo. Plug it in for summer ball, preseason football or volleyball, school, work… the list goes on...

That’s the messy middle.

It eats at us. Creates clutter we feel like we can never clean up.

Worst of all, the messy middle feels immortal.

No matter what we do, it lingers.

Let’s learn how to make that messy middle mortal. Let’s be done with it.

Exclusive Exercise: Morning Money

What are your investments doing?

No matter your age, I bet you're investing in something. Maybe it’s savings for retirement, or a college fund, or your morning workouts, your own mental training.

Let’s start counting these reps like they’re dollars.

Exclusive Action Tools:

  1. Wallet

    1. Pull it out. This is your bank of moves. It might be a journal, sticky notes, whiteboard markers on your mirror, or a sheet of paper by your bed. These are your reminders. Your mental bank.

  2. Open It

    1. Just like checking your balance, open the middle. See what’s actually going on right now. Be honest about what’s there.

  3. Track the Progress

    1. Look at your chart. Are things trending up or down? Even if it's going downhill, track it. Figure out what habit is dragging it down, then change that habit.

In Action:

An athlete recently finished their summer season feeling just... “eh.” Not terrible, but not amazing either.

But with our TAH training, we tracked everything. We looked at where they started, the highs and lows, what they projected, and where they landed.

By the end, they were surprised. The personal progress was real, even if the final team outcome wasn’t exactly what they imagined.

Closing:

Psychologically, we’re always in some kind of middle.

One thing ends, something else begins.

Sometimes, like this upcoming week, we deliberately take a “break”. But even that has a before and after. Another middle.

Even each night is the middle of two days.

Let’s break this by counting our investments. Stack them up over time.

Then perform. Confident. Clear. Fun.

That’s your morning money. That’s how we move from stuck to steady.

Catch you next Sunday, right in the middle of one week and the next ;)

P.S. If you ordered some TAH merch, it hasn’t arrived just yet. I’ll keep everyone updated once it’s in. I appreciate all the support, and if you know someone stuck in the middle, send this their way!
