Hey TAH Team,

Being brutally honest here — I believe more people should see these weekly themes, tricks, and tools. If you know someone who might benefit from them, share this with one person this week. Let’s keep building our TAH team of titans…

Week Theme:

The Power of Routine in Building Confidence — How a Consistent Routine Can Boost Confidence

Weekly Info:

Let me ask you something…

Do you feel more confident doing a brand-new task in a new location in front of a whole new crowd, or…

more confident doing a task you’ve done 100 times, in a place you’ve been 100 times, in front of people you’ve seen 100 times?

To me, the answer is clear — and it’s the foundation of this week’s theme.

This week’s deep dive explored building confidence through routines, shedding new light on the topic. Check it out here.

Additionally, hearing Terry Tucker’s story was inspiring. Despite his diverse career, setbacks, and battles with cancer, he finds strength in a steady routine of sharing his message “before his time is up” — his words, not mine. Exclusive Trick: Robust Routine

Confidence is a powerful strength — I see it all the time, and I fully believe this. While good performance can fuel confidence, I’ve often seen confidence come first, leading to better performance.

If we make routines robust and unbreakable, our confidence can reflect that strength.

Exclusive Action Tools:

Instead of steps, here are three common robust routines — before, during, and after performance — that work for top performers in athletics and beyond. The athletic world won’t be ready for us once these are in place!

  1. Music: This is powerful. Lock in the same mindset with consistent tunes to solidify the same mentality.

  2. Phrase: A simple, powerful phrase to reset mentally. Anything can happen mid-game, so having a quick phrase allows us to refocus instantly.

  3. Reflection: Journaling, walk and talk, or any form of post-performance reflection lets us clear our thoughts and prepare for the next one.

Closing:

This is just the tip of the iceberg. We all want more confidence, but many don’t know how to achieve it.

It’s not just “play well → increase confidence.” If that’s our only formula, we’re missing our full potential.

Develop routines, before, during, and after, to maintain confidence consistently, not just when things are going well.

Let me know your thoughts and how you’ll put this into action!

Routinely,

Gabe
