Hey TAH Team,
New T-shirt list and online group coaching are coming your way soon. Interested in either? I’ll send out more details next week, but feel free to respond to this email right now if you’re interested!
Week Theme:
Gamblers Fallacy: Patterns, Predictions, and Performance
Weekly Info:
How often do we think past events HAVE to influence what’s coming next?
I remember a year when Drake basketball kept winning and beating the spread!
Each week, I thought, “Wow, there’s no way they can do it again,” but they did, over and over.
Drake wasn’t playing to the norm or the hype of their previous games. Instead, they approached each game play by play, performing at their best without assuming the future would mimic the past.
Our guest this week, Curt Slater from TILL360, drove home the idea that we don’t need to rely on what’s already been done to shape the future. Instead, we have the power to change it.
We also dove deep into the Gambler’s Fallacy on this week’s Deep Dive episode, uncovering five tips, tricks, and tools to use it to our advantage in athletics.
Exclusive Trick:
Gant Gambling
Gant = Yawn
Honestly, gambling on our performance is boring.
I’d rather put in the work, stay calm before the storm of the match, and leave a path of destruction afterward. That’s hard to do if we’re just gambling our game away…
So, let’s take a cue from a classic gambling song and turn those lessons into actionable tools!

Closing:
Whether it’s Drake University basketball, TILL360, sports betting, Gant Gambling, or classic songs…
Our brains love to find excuses for why things should happen, or why they shouldn’t.
The Gambler’s Fallacy teaches us to prepare, adapt, and act deliberately rather than relying on patterns that don’t truly determine outcomes.
Gant Gambling,
Gabe
P.S. Seriously, reply if you’re interested! I’m making a list to start this next week for the holidays. :)
