Week Theme:

Building a Supportive Environment - Creating a Space that Fosters Growth and Learning

Weekly Info:

There’s something powerful about how the circle around us influences our growth. It acts like a portal, guiding us toward progress or, at times, regression.

Look around and you’ll see it everywhere:

  • If a team’s environment is filled with energy and a winning mentality, individuals naturally gravitate toward success.

  • If a flower’s surroundings are vibrant and nurturing, it blooms without question.

Therefore it was only right to connect mental performance with halloween horror movies with someone who knows them even more than myself, and who is also a physical therapy student! Check out this podcast with a life long friend, Trey Wodke, here!

Additionally, we dived deep in this subject on this weeks deep dive.

Exclusive Trick: Portal Of Growth

We are constantly evolving, changing, growing, quite literally making new cells and shedding old ones!

Having a circle of people, influence, and support all around us is like a portal transporting us into a new version of ourselves.

So we step through that portal and either go towards a better version, or dragged into a worse version.

The amazing this is that we get to pick where this portal takes us!

Exclusive Action Tools:

  1. Identify Your Destination: Pinpoint the goals you truly want to achieve, the other side of the portal.

  2. Build Your Portal: The circle around you shapes your journey. Take advantage of the resources you have and be willing to seek out more if needed. There’s an abundance

  3. Test the Portal: Step through and see where it takes you. Keep it open and tweak as needed to ensure it’s leading you in the right direction.

Closing:

It may seem daunting to build a supportive environment, thats why we can build a portal instead!

Build that portal rather than the entire environment, and see where it takes you.

If you need an example, check out that podcast episode! I didn’t know exactly how it would go, but the portal created seemed to make for a pretty fun episode, and more learning!

See you on the other side,

Gabe
